Fantasy Golf 2014: AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

pebble.jpg

pebble beach fantasy golfThe stars are out at Pebble Beach this week for the 2014 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, but most golf fans will be closely watching Phil Mickelson's back all four rounds. Literally.

Mickelson has always played well at Pebble and makes his return to an event he skipped last season. Will his nagging sore back keep him from contention this week, or will he be able to scale back his golf swing a bit to stay healthy? He's not exactly a spring chicken these days.

Brandt Snedeker is the defending champion but has been battling putter woes over the last few weeks. It should be interesting to see if he can get the flatstick working this week. He's still a solid fantasy golf pick.

The most interesting group comes from Yahoo's C-List roster, including Pat Perez and Ryan Palmer. Both men have played extremely well to start the season, including Palmer's two top-10 finishes in only three tournaments.

EDIT: Correction; Phil Mickelson did play in the 2013 event, but finished T-60. Which means I need to pay attention more.
