Today on the Golf Unfiltered Podcast we welcome the newest writer to the GU Family, Chris Chaney! Not only does Chris cover the PGA Tour tournament recaps and previews for our site, but he also runs an amazing golf blog over at WrongFairway.com.
In this episode we cover a quick recap of Shane Lowry's win at the 2015 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone. Why can't Jim Furyk finish a 54-hole lead? What happened to Justin Rose down the stretch on Sunday? Chris and I also talk a bit about Lowry's golf swing, you know, because we're golf swing experts.
We then jump into this week's PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. How will Rory McIlroy fare at his first tournament since injuring his ankle playing soccer? Will Jordan Spieth win a third major this season? We also debate whether or not distance off the tee plays as strong a role toward winning a tournament as it once did in the past (h/t to Luke Kerr-Dineen and Shane Ryan there).
