Fantasy Golf 2014: HP Byron Nelson Championship
The next PGA Tour stop this week is at the 2014 HP Byron Nelson Championship from the TPC Four Seasons Resort and Club Las Colinas in Irving, Tx. Sang-Moon Bae is your defending champion, and also a great name for a vacation destination.
Martin Kaymer is the popular fantasy golf pick this week having won The Players Championship less than a week ago. He also finished in a tie for fifth at this tournament in 2013, so he should definitely find his way on your fantasy golf pick roster.
Keegan Bradley is another obvious choice this week, having finished runner-up to Bae in 2013. The fidgety Bradley has played consistently well this season and seems on the cusp of adding another trophy to his resume. He also seems to be on the brink of crapping his pants, but I digress.
Jimmy Walker is also a pick this week, and it has everything to do with the fact that he's still won three times this season. I'm also afraid that his wife, Erin, will beat me up if I don't.

Fantasy Golf 2014: RBC Heritage
The PGA Tour returns to Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, SC for this week's 2014 RBC Heritage. Graeme McDowell is your defending champion, but there are a number of other players who could be strong fantasy golf picks.
Jordan Spieth, for example, returns to action after an impressive run at last weeks Masters. The 20-year old golf phenom likely has no issue settling for the tartan jacket awarded to this week's winner, and I suspect another strong week from the young man.
Matt Kuchar is also back after his strong showing at Augusta, despite having a shaky final round on Sunday. His flat swing and smooth tempo has done well at this tournament in the past, and Kuchar has only finished outside the top 25 twice in any tournament this season. Put him on your fantasy golf roster.
Bill Haas and McDowell round out my starting lineup for the week, with the former holding the 18-hole lead at last week's major and the latter being this week's defending champion.
Fantasy Golf 2014: Sony Open in Hawaii
The name of this week's PGA Tour event -- the Sony Open in Hawaii -- has always bothered me.
Why do we have to designate that it's in Hawaii? Why not just the Sony Open or something similar?
Anyway, many of the players from last week's Hyundai Tournament of Champions made the short trip to Honolulu for this week's event. Zach Johnson looks to go back-to-back in Hawaii for the first time since 2003, when Ernie Els last accomplished the feat. This is a full-field event, however, so ZJ will have more competition to fend off.
Looks for Mark Wilson to play well again in this event. He won it in 2011, perhaps his best year on Tour, and seems to prefer the tight fairways and severe doglegs featured at Waialae Country Club. He's a solid fantasy golf pick this week if you're looking for a strong gamble.
Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 Tour Championship
The 2013 PGA Tour season comes to a close this week at the Tour Championship presented by Coca-Cola. The FedExCup Champion will also be determined on Sunday, along with the newest $10 million winner in the season-long series.
Tiger Woods enters the week as the FedExCup Points leader, followed by Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker, Phil Mickelson and Bill Haas.
East Lake in Atlanta will once again host the Tour Championship. The venue has proven to be a tough test for the world's best players over the years, however we are sure to see some exciting golf near the home stretch.

Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 BMW Championship
The PGA Tour returns to my back yard this week for the 2013 BMW Championship from Conway Farms in Lake Forest, Ill. Consider me slightly excited.
Rory McIlroy is the defending champion at this event, which marks the third stage of the FedExCup Playoffs. Henrik Stenson is the current points leader slightly ahead of Tiger Woods, who has grown rather comfortable winning in the Chicago area throughout his career.
Other golfers to consider this week include Steve Stricker -- who also prefers Midwest courses -- Phil Mickelson and Chicago-resident Luke Donald.

Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 Deutsche Bank Championship
The second round of the 2013 FedExCup Playoffs is this week as the top 100 players will tee-off at the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston.
The main story for the week will be how points-leader Tiger Woods will play following his back injury last week at The Barclays. Woods still holds a slight lead over Adam Scott, but he is in danger of being dethroned should Scott produce another strong performance.
Rory McIlroy is the defending champion this week, so keep an eye on him to build off his strong performance at the PGA Championship.

Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 The Barclays
The first round of the 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs starts this week at The Barclays from Liberty National in New Jersey. The majority of the world's top players will be in the field, including all four major championship winners from the season.
Liberty National got a ton of flack from golfers and fans alike as the site of the US Open four years ago, but a lot of time has passed since that tournament and the course has grown into one of the finest in the country. It will undoubtedly be a challenging test for all competing, so choose your fantasy golf picks wisely.

Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 Wyndham Championship
The major championship season may be over, but there is still a ton of great golf to be played on the PGA Tour. This week, Sedgefield Country Club welcomes the best players in the world for the 2013 Wyndham Championship.
Sergio Garcia returns to defend his title, which he will do so against a strong field of past champions including Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker and Davis Love III. While Garcia has not played much on the PGA Tour this season, he has managed to accumulate a 37.55 fantasy golf point average per appearance.

PGA Championship 2013: Fantasy Golf Picks
This week marks the final major championship of the 2013 season as the world's best compete at the PGA Championship at Oak Hill. Tiger Woods is once again heavily favored to win his 15th major this week, however a slew of great players will be looking to thwart his efforts.
Reigning Masters champion Adam Scott will be in hot pursuit of a second major this season, and don't be surprised if he does exactly that. Scott has played well in every major this year and the story should remain the same this week.
Jason Day is another player who simply rises to the occasion for every major, having carded numerous Top 10 finishes over the past two years. Matt Kuchar is another threat this week to Tiger's plan, having played well at both the British and US Open championships.

Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 WGC - Bridgestone Invitational
Tiger Woods is the heavy favorite (again) heading into Firestone, a course that he has dominated throughout his career. While he is coming off a disappointing final round at the British Open, Woods did show he is in top form for this week.
There are a ton of strong players to choose from this week, including most of the Top 10 players in the world. Phil Mickelson returns to action after becoming the newest major champion of 2013, and reigning Masters Champ Adam Scott returns to a course on which he has won one already.

Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 RBC Canadian Open
After a thrilling Open Championship last week, the PGA Tour returns to Canada (eh) for the 2013 RBC Canadian Open at Glen Abbey Golf Club.
Defending champion Scott Piercy is not in the field this week, so we are already guaranteed a new winner in 2013. Big names in the field include Graeme McDowell, Ernie Els, Charl Schwartzel, Hunter Mahan and Dustin Johnson among others. Mahan may be the unofficial favorite to win this week after his strong showing at the Open.

The Open Championship is this week as the best players around the world gear up for the season’s third major championship. Ernie Els is the defending champion after backing in to a victory last year thanks to Adam Scott’s memorable collapse. Tiger Woods is still the heavy favorite to win, but will his injured elbow keep him from winning No. 15?
Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 John Deere Classic
The PGA Tour returns to the TPC at Deere Run in Silvas, IL for the 2013 John Deere Classic... or as I like to call it, the "Steve Stricker Invitational".
Stricker has won this event four out of the last five years, forcing him to include the Tour stop on his abbreviated playing schedule this season. There's no way you shouldn't have him on your fantasy golf roster this week, especially since Stricker has been playing solid golf all year. Well, at least in the few tournaments in which he's played.
Jonas Blixt is also in the field this week. Having won at the Greenbrier Classic last week, Blixt might be on a hot streak and is worth a nod on your B-List for the John Deere.

As our country celebrates yet another birthday, the PGA Tour returns to The Greenbrier for this week's Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia.
Always one of the more enjoyable tournaments to watch each year, The Greenbrier Classic features a strong field that includes defending champ Phil Mickelson, Brandt Snedeker, Billy Horschel and many others. Keeping this week's picks short and sweet for ya'll, so good luck on this week's fantasy golf selection.
Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 AT&T National
The PGA Tour returns to Congressional CC near our nation's capital for this week's AT&T National, hosted by Tiger Woods.
While Woods is out of commission this week and will not be playing due to injury (again), a flurry of big names are in the field. Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan, Adam Scott, Billy Horschel and others should look great on your fantasy golf roster this week.
I decided to get a little wild with my picks, choosing some names that could be considered outside of the box. Graham DeLaet played well in last week's Travelers Championship, so I went with the Canadian to continue his strong play this week. While I don't necessarily care for the guy, Horschel makes another rare appearance on my roster thanks to his performance at the US Open two weeks ago. Finally, Charlie Hoffman gets a start despite letting his chances at a win in Hartford literally slipped through his fingers at the Travelers.
Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 Travelers Championship
Justin Rose won the 2013 US Open last week, so obviously the best thing for him to do is compete the very next week at the 2013 Travelers Championship in Hartford, CT. Rose will be the hottest player on the planet coming into a tournament usually preferred by first-time winners on the PGA TOUR.
Defending champion Marc Leishman broke his Tour victory cherry last year at this event and will look for a repeat come Thursday. Other big names in the field include Jason Dufner, Keegan Bradley, Charley Hoffman and Webb Simpson.
Don't be surprised to see Ian Poulter come out as the winner this week. The flashy Englishman had a strong showing at last week's US Open (T-21) and seems to be more confident in stroke-play than ever before.
Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 US Open Championship
The season's second major is set to tee off at Merion Golf Club just west of Philadelphia (born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most... nevermind). Tiger Woods is once again the overwhelming favorite headed into Thursday, however a slew of young first-time winners are drooling at the bit for another victory in 2013. Phil Mickelson had a strong showing last week at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, however can Lefty keep his poise to finally win his first US Open?
Matt Kuchar is the only other two-time winner this season, and coming off his win at The Memorial two weeks ago, he might be a strong second favorite.
Let's not forget about reigning Masters Champion Adam Scott. While he has been quiet since his victory at Augusta, Scott has proven he can remain patient and consistent in the most nerve-racking situations.

The FedEx St. Jude's Classic marks the final PGA Tour stop before the US Open, and a group of strong players will be in contention this week at the TPC Southwind.
Big-time names like Brandt Snedeker, Phil Mickelson and defending champion Dustin Johnson are ready for action, but don't be surprised to see another first-time winner come out of Memphis. I've decided to stick with a group of veterans for my fantasy golf picks this week, so here's hoping one of them can get me back in the red this season.
Fantasy Golf Picks: 2013 The Memorial Tournament
Jack Nicklaus runs a golf tournament every year, and Tiger Woods likes to win it. The World No. 1 is this week's defending champion, and don't be surprised for him to successfully defend his title.
The Memorial is always a fun tournament to watch as it is one of the last tune-ups before the U.S. Open. I have no doubt this week will be memorable in one way or another, especially considering the strength of the field. Here are my fantasy golf picks for the 2013 Memorial Tournament. Zach Johnson returns to The Colonial in Fort Worth, TX to defend his crown at the Crowne Plaza Invitational this week. While not one of the best fields on the PGA Tour schedule, this week's event is rich in history as it is held in Ben Hogan's old stomping grounds.
Top names in the field along with Johnson include Jason Dufner, Keegan Bradley (who finished in second place last week at the HP Byron Nelson), Charl Schwartzel (who finished third) and Matt Kuchar.
