The FS-01 reminds us of a classic sneaker that just doubles as a golf shoe. These were designed to be work on the course or off, with just enough grip on the sole to help when playing on turf.
The 100% Eco-Genuine Leather upper is hand-crafted for a polished look on the outer shell. Inside, TRUE’s new proprietary Ultra Plush Insole System offers perfect comfort, fit, and performance no matter the situation. They did a great job with sticking to their minimalist style that we love while bringing golfers new comfort and design features.

Eco-Genuine Leather: Recycled leather is more sustainable - and the first of its kind. It offers a soft luxury hand feel, consistent matte pebbled finish and is a genuine leather product without the environmental footprint (GRS Certified Recycled Content). It’s highly scratch resistant, odor free, strong, flexible and easy to clean while utilizing real pre and post-consumer recycled leather.
1-Piece Rubber Stitched Outsole: The one piece rubber outsole offers an incredibly durable, long lasting and stable pair of shoes. It also means a wrinkle free midsole that is easy to clean and stays looking great.
Achilles Heel Pad: The heel cushion provides comfort and locks in your heel for a blister-free walking experience.
Ultra Plush Insole System: The Ultra-Plush Insole System is TRUE’s most comfortable feeling footbed they have ever built. This system allows you to sit directly atop the midsole; forgoing the hardened, dead feel that a traditional lasting board and cement glue create. They offer the TRUE fit we all love, while adding a layer of plush comfort for your overall walking experience. The insoles are also made with anti-microbial properties to keep your shoes fresh over time.
Work Boot Durability: Scratch resistant, water resistant, and ready for any endeavor - the FS-01 won’t shy away from inclement conditions or arduous wear and tear.

Upper: Recycled, GRS Certified, Leather Upper “Eco-Genuine Leather” (58% Recycled Pre Consumer Genuine Leather, 25% Post Consumer recycled content, 17% Polyurethane for Scratch-Resistant Finish).
Insole: Ultra Plush Insole System - for enhanced comfort, stability and under-foot performance.
Outsole: Natural Gum Rubber & Silicone (transparent colorways utilize silicone).
Bonding: Strongest bond yet - the leather upper and Margrom rubber outsole are brought together with strobel construction and a outsole topline stitch to ensure strong bonding strength, while also reducing the need for unnecessary harmful adhesives.
Feel and Performance
The TRUE FS-01 is an incredibly comfortable shoe all around, period. This is to be expected from TRUE Linkswear as they continuously deliver in this area with every single release.
We loved the design and color options available, including the black color that features the brand’s Dead Golfer logo on the back. This is a cool little touch to add to the shoe’s overall look without adding too much flair to a sleek minimalist design.
As a golf shoe, the FS-01 offers the perfect amount of traction without feeling like you’re walking around on spikes. TRUE has always done a great job balancing functionality with comfort, and these shoes are no exception. There’s little doubt that these will make for every-round golf shoes next season.
As an off-the-course option, which will primarily be how I wear these shoes, the FS-01 feels just like a high-end sneaker or gym shoe would. They are very lightweight and breathable enough to keep your feet dry no matter the weather conditions without overheating.
The TRUE Linkswear FS-01 is a fantastic footwear option for on the course or off. As a fan of shoes that can be worn out of the car and kept on for the entire day, the FS-01 has skyrocketed to the top of my personal shoe rotation.
