Total Golf Trainer 3.0 Kit Review

The Total Golf Trainer is a multi-purpose golf swing training apparatus that helps you get your hands in the right positions throughout your swing. It can also be used for a wide range of other training drills, all of which geared toward helping the consistency of your game.

Total Golf Trainer 3.0 Kit

What is the Total Golf Trainer?

The Total Golf Trainer is actually a kit of three trainers in one. Now available in a kit of three, the TGT devices are designed to provide instant feedback for golfers of all skill levels to help lower scores and improve the overall golf swing. The Total Golf Trainer 3.0 Kit is an all-in-one training kit.

The TGT 3.0 Kit is the first all in one training kit that is completely custom to your swing. All products fit juniors & adults with settings for beginners to professional. Their flexible training rods allow you to increase or decrease the difficulty while providing safe and effective feedback.

These training rods extend from cuffs that you place on your arm and club, along with a few additional features on the system itself. Depending on where you position the rods and where you wear the training device, you can work on golf swing basics like takeaway, backswing, wrist position, and more.

Who is the Total Golf Trainer for?

Golfers of any skill level will appreciate the fundamentals the TGT helps you perfect over time. You will find this product useful whether you’re a newer golfer or have played for years.

What does the Total Golf Trainer Fix?

Through repeated practice and use, the TGT can help with the following swing flaws:

  • Incorrect Wrist Set

  • Extreme Open Or Closed Club Face

  • Sucking The Club Inside On The Takeaway

  • Too Laid Off Or Across The Line At Top Of The Backswing

  • Loss Of Width, Tendency To Over Swing

  • Over The Top Downswing Move

  • Casting Or Early Release Of The Club On The Downswing

  • Loss Of Posture, Early Extension At Impact

  • Flipping Or Scooping

Overall Impressions

My time with the Total Golf Trainer has been brief, but I can see the benefits of using it over time. I am impressed by the wide range of common swing flaws this product addresses, however setting the trainer up on your golf club and arms isn’t the most intuitive thing in the world.

Luckily, the product comes with detailed instructions that include diagrams to help you use the TGT. You will need to attach the product to your golf club in almost every instance, which can be done following the instructions closely. The TGT also works for right-handed or left-handed golfers.

The TGT definitely helps you with “feeling” the proper positions of a golf swing in your wrists, arms and hands. However, it should be noted that these positions are best practices and not necessarily a one-size-fits-all approach. As we all know, every golf swing can be different and effective, as long as you are practicing solid fundamentals.

Overall, I’d say the Total Golf Trainer is an effective golf swing training system for indoor and outdoor use. While some may feel it is a bit over complicated with its moving parts, and it does take some time to set up properly on your golf club, the end result is very positive for players looking to fine tune their game.
